Processing Apprenticeships for the CWDC
This is our dedicated page for the Apprenticeship Certificate applications, which we are processing on behalf of the Children's Workforce Development Council.
Notice:
After the large backlog recived from CWDC we are pleased to inform you that we are now up to date in processing the CCLD Framework Certificates.
Request forms and guidance notes on how to complete forms are available to download below.
All apprentices on issue 7.1 of the CCLD apprenticeship framework (from November 2008) in England must achieve the CWDC induction standards for those working within children's services.
These include
The Employment Rights and Responsibilities(ERR) learning targets and outcomes, as set out by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), have been mapped to the CWDC Induction Standards. Therefore, completion of the Induction Standards will lead to the achievement of the ERR component of the CCLD framework.
For learners registered on issue 7.1 evidence of ERR will be a signed copy of the successful achievement certificate from the CWDC Induction Standards.

- understanding their role as a worker (employed or self-employed)
- understanding health and safety requirements
- medication and health-care procedures
- understanding the development of children and young people
- safeguarding children (keep them safe from harm)
- developing yourself
