Funding Wizard
You can now access a funding database which enables employers and individuals to search for funding specific to the Justice sector, for a range of activities from project start-up to workforce training and development.
You can search for funding that is directly applicable to you as a public sector, voluntary sector, or private organisation, or as an individual employee. The database is updated daily.
We are providing this service at no cost to subscribers and non-subscribers for the next 12 months.
Once you have registered some basic details about yourself or your organisation you can search as many times as you like. The database is intended to complement, not replace, ongoing dialogue with funders such as the Learning and Skills Council, DCELLS or other public funding bodies.
To help us to evaluate the effectiveness of the database in helping you to achieve your business and personal objectives we would like to hear from you.
Please take a couple of minutes after you search to let us know what you were looking to fund and whether the wizard identified funding sources relevant to you. Please contact Helen Anayiotos on 0114 2615 804 or e-mail helen.anayiotos@skillforjustice.com|.

The Hardman Trust have published the latest "Prisoner Funder Directory". This document focuses on funding streams available for individual offenders and ex-offenders for purposes connected with rehabilitation. The guide is primarily for offenders and those in support roles, however many of the organisations included will also provide support for a wider group of applicants, which may include the families of prisoners and ex-offenders. Clinks understand that this guide is now widely available in prisons across England. Download it for FREE NB: This is a large file >2MB]
The Allen Lane Foundation now has a continual application process. The Foundation aims to fund work which will make a lasting difference to people's lives rather than simply alleviating the symptoms or current problems and encourages or enables unpopular groups to share in the life of the whole community.
In particular, applications are encouraged from those working with asylum-seekers and refugees; gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or transgender people; gypsies and travellers; offenders and ex-offenders; older people; people from black and minority ethnic communities and migrant workers; people experiencing mental health problems; people experiencing violence or abuse. Grants of between £500 and £15,000 are available to smaller organisations. Find out more information.
